An exploration of a change, in time. When the beauty of the landscapes were vulnerably changed by a loss of the steward and proud owner of the gate and land protecting a sacred place in my heart; Marshall's Bay, a small community in the rural skirts of Ottawa.
The series was also documented to process the loss of my father, who had passed one week following the farmer of Marshall's Bay.
Capturing the beauty in our backyard, traveling the VIA Rail to the West Coast and to the Yukon
Couldn`t be happier to have this amazing land to explore!
A wine tasting, and a classy lady
Being on my own and having a camera to capture the people was amazing. I was able to connect through the discussions and open dialogue up through personal stories. This woman was a great reminder of my amazing Grandmother, who also took a trip across the country as an elderly woman.
A woodwind moment
I was particularly attracted to take this photograph, partly as a reminder of my trip and the talent that was shared but also because I play the flute!
Speaking about my travels with a man sitting in front of me, I mentioned my trip on the VIA rail was taking me to see my twin sister up in the Yukon for our 25th birthday, when his wife, in the foreground say she was a twin as well, and then the woman in the background also expressed being a twin! I cannot tell you how wonderful that moment was!
